About Me

I’ve been blogging on and off for about three years, mostly about science, science fiction and fantasy.  I’ve learned quite a bit about blogging by paying attention to all the amazing bloggers out there, and sometimes I like to write about that as well.

I write mostly spec fic with the occasional contemp, and it doesn’t really matter to me whether it’s YA or AF, because I love reading both of them.

I won’t be talking very much about my experiences as a writer.  There are many awesome blogs out there that already do that.  I will be looking in-depth into the craft of writing speculative fiction, but I believe that writing in any genre is pretty much the same, so even of that isn’t your bag, I think you’ll be able to find something relevant to you.

I hope you enjoy the blog, because writing is all about giving the reader something to enjoy.  You can show your over-flowing appreciation by commenting and subscribing and generally having a good time.

Also, because there seems to be some confusion about this:  Despite the name, I’m a guy.  So while it doesn’t really bother me that much if you refer to me as “she”, it’s not technically correct, and it might cause unnecessary confusion for other readers.

Please don’t bore me with flat lines. You said.

What do you mean by that statement?

It was just a joke about the page views graph.

Okay, guess I was thinking in terms of my theatrical background and delivering lines in a flat manner. Hopefully your graph lines are in a continuous upward trend because you seem to put a lot into your posts.

Well, I hope people put some passion into their comments, as well. 😉

But yeah, I’ve had 153 views today, which is second or third highest I’ve had in awhile. Just need to keep churnin’ out the quality posts, I guess.

I don’t exactly have the money to buy books right now and don’t have access to a library. So, after burning through all five books i brought with me on a long trip, i decided i wanted to build my own world in my head as a hobby. So, in short, I’m a new writer and came to your blog looking for advise. As it turns out, two of your favorite things in fiction are mine as well, namely steampunk and magic/fantasy. Im working on building a world that has two separate entities of magic and tech/steam punk with separate kingdoms or countries that focus on either. Eventually these things may interact, but for the beginning they must be separate. I have some solid stuff but i keep having to rethink my magic system and am having a hard time wrapping my head around how everything will balance and work together or just work in general. My focus is to build a world from which I can pull indefinitely . People may die and stories may end, but the world still keeps moving.

I would like you to just write more about what you already like and maybe it can help my world grow and shape.
